Saying One Thing and Doing Another, the Lesson Learn By Eliot Spitzer

I thought for awhile if I should cover this. The mainstream media covered the story for about 3 days before the Obama anti-American pastor hit the screen. But since I got a little time before my Xbox/Nintendo customer support review, I thought I should cover it. The only thing that held it back was because I getting tried of posting every gamer pissy moment.
During his term as Attorney General, he fought computer chip manufacturers, insurance companies, record labels, police corruption, and even the New York Stock Exchange. He even got named TIME Crusader of the Year 2002. When he became governor he proposed a bill for same sex marriage, criticize for use of police surveillance, even try to give illegal aliens driver's licenses. But gamers will best remember him for what he said about TV, music, and games.
Media content has gotten more graphic, more violent and more sex-based… Currently, nothing under New York State law prohibits a fourteen-year old from walking into a video store and buying… a game like ‘Grand Theft Auto,’ which rewards a player for stealing cars and beating people up. Children can even simulate having sex with a prostitute…When he got in to office, Spitzer came up with the "Safe Games Act". If it passed, selling or renting a game to a minor will be a Class E felony (rape, dismemberment, physical torture, mutilation or evisceration of a human being), every new game system must have parental controls, and a universal rating system. I already pointed out the flaw of parental controls and parents before, but they got to used to be effective. But putting some guy in the same boat as rapist and killer for selling a game to a kid is just wrong.
It got fast track though the New York Assembly, but it hit a bump in the road named Joseph Bruno, the Senate Majority Leader. I guess the whole police keeping tabs on where he goes rubbed him the wrong way. It's expected to rear it's ugly head again this year. But since just about all of the gaming law have been shot down, it's doubtful this won't last long.
Now here where why you shouldn't do one thing and say another. A FBI wiretap of the Emperors Club VIP caught him hooking up a call girl. "Kristen" was to meet up with "Client 9" in Washington DC for the night. My guess, it's not to take her to dinner and a show and part ways. After three days, he left office.
If your against something but do it any way, that gains you the title of hypocrite. It's only make it worst if you are the Attorney General, a person that knows the law, to use services that are against the law. And for me, if your married and living under the same room as your wife and taking part in this, your just asking for trouble. Here's the common life lesson, don't shit on what you eat.
